Tzintzuntzan "molcajete" bowl
This unique piece features the traditional cream and black pottery from Tzintzuntzan, which young artisan Juan Miguel Teniente Morales learned from his family. Ofelia Gamez was his grandmother and Angela Morales Gamez is his aunt. Miguel has created some interesting new motifs, often influenced by Pre-Columbian designs. This bowl's shape is that of ancient pottery, often referred to as a "molcajete" because of the three feet. A special pottery art piece that is also safe to serve with food as it is lead free.
Approximately 7.5 inches diameter, 3 inches high.
