Hammered Copper Cazo (Cooking Pot)

$ 270.00

This is a very heavy, professional grade hand hammered copper cazo from Santa Clara del Cobre in Michoacán. Not just beautiful to look at, cazos are traditionally used over an open fire to make carnitas, nopales, cajeta, jam, atole, and many other foods.

Available in three sizes; measurement is the diameter of the top of the pot. Cazos are rounded, not flat on the bottom. You may use them on a gas stove with no problem.

Our cazos ship from Mexico via FedEx and are delivered usually within two weeks. Shipping charges are included. Note: The shipping charges are beyond our control and unfortunately because FedEx has increased the charges we have had to raise our prices.

You can read more about Santa Clara del Cobre and cazos here on a blog post we wrote a few years ago.

We just received our beautiful cazo and couldn't be more delighted.
I haven't yet used it for cooking, but it's prominently displayed in the kitchen and its beauty feeds our souls.
Gracias a Roberto Castro Hernandez for sharing his talent, workmanship and artistry. We are grateful to have this piece and be reminded every day of artisans like him and support their work.

A beautiful cazo that will last a lifetime and more. I bought this cazo to make cajeta and it comes out perfectly every time. It is a gorgeous piece to have on display when it is not in use and I have received numerous compliments on it. The feel and weight of the cazo is perfect; you can tell the love and craftsmanship that went into it. Worth every penny!
