Hammered Copper Cazo (Cooking Pot)
Mexico By Hand sells heavy, professional grade hand hammered copper cazos from Santa Clara del Cobre in Michoacán. Not just beautiful to look at, cazos are traditionally used over an open fire to make carnitas, nopales, cajeta, jam, atole, and many other foods.
Cazos are available in a few sizes-- most of our customers who are home cooks buy the 14 inch or 16 inch, but we can also get them smaller or larger. The measurement is the diameter of the top of the pot, without the handles. Cazos are rounded, not flat on the bottom. You may use them on a gas stove with no problem.
If you'd like to order one of a different size, please contact us here: https://mexico-by-hand.myshopify.com/pages/contact-us
