This traditional tortilla basket was handmade by Purepecha Indian artisans on the shores of Lake Patzcuaro. Very attractive and sturdy, this basket is made from "chuspata" or tule reeds that grow in the lake. The basket is approximately 8 in. diameter, 4 inches high and comes with a lid. We've added one of our lovely handwoven Turicuaro cotton napkins in red or navy --plus a beautiful salsa bowl -- making it a wonderful gift set! We're thinking hostess or housewarming gift...who wouldn't want that?
