In case you don't know, Lotería is a traditional Mexican board game similar to bingo, but is played with a deck of picture cards. Each card has an image of an object, its name, and a number. Mexico By Hand has designed a Lotería game with children in mind, but is fun for adults to play as well. Actually, it would be a fantastic activity for the whole family! The pictures in our game are Mexican artesanía or folk art, photos of actual pieces you might see here on our website, and the names are in both English and Spanish. So it's a great way to learn some vocabulary!
The sets include six 8 x 11 game boards called tablas, and a set of 24 cards. We also have included information about all the artesanía on our website, which can be found here: https://mexico-by-hand.myshopify.com/pages/mexican-folk-art-loteria
The sets come in a convenient case for keeping the game protected and organized, however you will need to provide markers to cover the spaces. We suggest you use pennies or even better-- use some beans! You'll also need to have prizes, because everyone likes to win something, right?

The Capula bowl with flowers is absolutely adorable. It makes a charming addition to our tabletop and countertop displays. The color story is a bit unusual for red ware from Mexico which only makes it more delightful. It was shipped quickly, very well wrapped, and arrived unharmed. I will shop here again with pleasure!
Not only is the item I purchased beautiful it arrived within 4 days from time of order, very well packed ( especially since item is fragile) and polite notifications via email. Highly recommend "Mexico by Hand".
I have bought a few items from Mexico By Hand over the years, and loved them all. But when I saw the Ocumicho Danza - three musicians I had to have them. They fit right into my collection. I also bought a handwoven cotton napkin to use as a doily. It is beautiful and multipurpose.
I have been a customer of Mexico By Hand for many years. And I LOVE all the unique pieces I have purchased from them. I especially enjoy the ceramics made by Manuel Morales, whose designs are wonderful. I have a collection of his assorted mugs with differing glaze designs and shapes, which I use daily for my morning cup of coffee. Additionally, I have another collection of his elegant soup bowls. I have used them when I entertain, serving winter soups. The fun part is I invite each guest to chose their own bowl which they delight in. These bowls complement my everyday Dansk Generation Mist dishes from the 1960's, as well as my treasured hand thrown pottery by Janaki Larsen. Her pieces are varied in their glazes and are the perfect foil for these one-of-a-kind bowls.
The pan is perfect and Peggy with Mexico By Hand was fantastic - she kept me informed every step of way and did everything she could to insure that the pan was received by Christmas, and it did!!
I gave these to my daughter for Christmas, along with a smaller sized hoop from the same area of Mexico, and she was absolutely thrilled! She has actually visited the area these were made, so that makes these just that more special. They are very high quality and not too heavy - they are just right. Thank you, Peggy, for your great communication and sending these to me in time for our special Christmas celebration!
These are so pretty! Just the right size for little snacks like fruit, nuts or chips. And of course, the quality, workmanship, and customer service are always THE BEST!
What a beautiful blouse. Everyone comments on it everywhere I go. This is high quality handwork.

Love Angelica's work of the Guadalupe! She is a master of his craft. I have a tile mural from her a well in the same colors pallet.
