Handwoven Table Runner with Natural Dyes

I fell in love with this piece the moment I saw it, and I knew it had to come home with me. It was handwoven on a backstrap loom by an indigenous woman in a small village on the coast of Michoacán. It's cotton, woven with all natural dyes from plants and shells. This is a process that has been "rediscovered" and these textiles are rare and difficult to find. Most are of more subdued neutral colors, but this one has rich tones of copper, pink, and lavender-- much more beautiful in person! It's narrow and long, approximately 6 inches wide, 35 inches long.
