This is an extraordinary example of weaving from the Purepecha village of Cuanajo, near Patzcuaro, Michoacán. It was woven on a backstrap loom by master artesana Natividad Casimiro Romero, and features traditional designs that have been passed down from generation to generation. A faja is a sash, and this one can be used as a small table runner or hung on the wall.
